CBT Mindfulness

Where you place yourself says a lot about you.  If you are prone to dwell in the past then you may tend to have more depressive thoughts, you yearn for a time that you perceive was better than today.

If you dwell more in the future then you may tend to be more anxious, you may be nervous about what is in store.

If you live in the present then you will be more balanced and content, this is called mindfulness.  Bring your attention to what is going on for you right now, the sounds you hear, the sights you see and note your feelings if you are anxious or depressed you are not in the present.  It takes practice but you are safe in the moment.
